How to save your configuration with the VELO ID

The VELO ID is not a customer account. It is a unique key that lets you link your created configuration and retrieve it later — no personal data required.
Key essentials
What is the VELO ID?
A configuration ID (short code or link) that identifies only your created bike configuration. No login, no account, no personal data.
What is saved?
  • Configuration data: model, frame style/size, colour, motor, battery, specification.
  • Technical metadata: time/version of the configuration.
  • Optional share link: a readable link to view the configuration.
Important: The VELO ID acts like a key. Anyone who has it can view the configuration. Keep it safe.
Security & data protection
  • No account, no personal data: the VELO ID links only the bike configuration.
  • Share with care: give the ID/link only to people who should see your configuration.
  • New ID: you can generate a new VELO ID at any time for modified variants.

Action
Steps
Link
Save configuration
Open configurator → build your selection → “Save” → copy VELO ID (code/link) → store it safely.
Continue editing later
Open configurator → “Load configuration” → paste VELO ID or open the saved link.
Share with family/dealer
Pass on the VELO ID or share link → opening displays the configuration in the configurator (without personal data).
Compare variants
Load the base configuration → “Duplicate” → change an option (e.g. battery) → save again → note the new VELO ID.
Show at the dealer
Bring the VELO ID or open the link → the dealer sees your build and can advise/arrange a test ride.
Example VELO ID: ABCD-1234-EFGH (or a direct link). Tip: save it as a bookmark or send it to yourself.
What happens without a VELO ID?
Without saving, your build is lost after closing the browser. Always generate a VELO ID.
Create multiple configurations
For comparisons (e.g. 545 Wh vs 725 Wh) simply duplicate and save a separate VELO ID for each variant.
Data minimisation
The VELO ID stores only the bike configuration. No personal data is required.
