Key essentials
What happens at the handover?
- ID check & accessories: frame/key number; ordered accessories fitted?
- Riding position: saddle height/tilt, handlebar height/reach, brake lever position.
- System check: motor/display, assistance levels, gears, brakes.
- Test ride: a short loop; fine-tune straight afterwards.
- Service notes: first inspection, battery care, torque settings, tyre pressure.
Tip: Bringing your VELO-ID lets the dealer pull up your configuration instantly.
Riding position
- Heel on pedal (6 o’clock) → leg almost straight.
- Saddle tilt neutral (0–2°).
- Reach: upright (comfort) vs. longer (sporty).
Cockpit & brakes
- Handlebar height suited to your posture.
- Brake levers: index-finger position; adjust reach.
- Bell, lights and display easy to reach.
Tyres & suspension
- Tyre pressure per weight/use (see sidewall).
- For full-suspension: set sag, note click settings.
Software & updates
- Check for display/motor updates.
- Pair the app (account optional, system-dependent).
- Have assistance profiles (Eco/Tour/Sport) explained.
